I am blessed to have the opportunity to live with the Noldes when I visited Germany last year.
Despite traveling alone to Europe for the first time and the language barrier, I felt so at home because they were so warm and hospitable and they spoke in English to me. Upon arrival, Bianca put together such a thoughtful care pack for me – with a bath soap, some skin moisturizer, a lip balm and some yummy German chocolates, knowing how my skin would react to the weather change and how much I love Kinder chocolates.
Some of the other highlights of my stay there are the chats we had about God and life, getting to know their friends, visiting places, learning about the culture, being introduced to the German food and of course their sense of humor. Also, I am forever grateful that they were willing to take my friend in and gave her a safe place to spend the night at. I had a lovely time with the amazing Nolde family.

I had a nice time in Annatjie and Klaus‘ cozy house. Their family was so welcoming towards a stranger like me that there was no room left for awkwardness. I was greeted by a down to earth family that welcomes me like a long lost family. Annatjie and Klaus, thank you for taking me in and sharing your family space and laughters with me.
With love, Germaine from Malaysia
